Visual Basic Programming Tutorials The latest version of the Visual Basic programming language is Visual Basic 2008. It is an upgrade to Visual Basic 2005, which was a revamping of the highly-touted Visual Basic .NET introduced in 2001. Visual Basic 2005 and Visual Basic 2008 have a completely new development environment, improved support for database applications, web applications and handheld devices. Our tutorials will work with any edition of Visual Basic 2005 or Visual Basic 2008 (Standard, Professional, Enterprise - Where Do I Get Visual Basic?). We offer three Visual Basic tutorials. Learn Visual Basic is an overview of building Windows applications and assumes you have some programming knowledge (with Visual Basic or some other language). VISUAL BASIC AND DATABASES, addresses database applications. VISUAL BASIC AND WEB DEVELOPMENT (in production; release date is late 2008) teaches how to build web sites using Visual Web Developer Express (a free product). We do not offer beginning tutorials for Visual Basic, but don't despair. Microsoft offers a free, simplified version of Visual Basic, called Visual Basic Express, a product for which we do have beginning tutorials. Any application built with Visual Basic Express will run under Visual Basic. Visual Basic Express for Kids is aimed at first time, kid programmers (Ages 10 and up). If you are a beginning adult programmer, then Beginning Visual Basic Express is for you. Two more advanced tutorials, KID GAMES WITH VISUAL BASIC EXPRESS and HOME PROJECTS WITH VISUAL BASIC EXPRESS, may also be of interest. As always, each tutorial includes free, unlimited support. You ask a question - we answer it!
